Omni Hotel International Canada,job vacancy are fraud or not?
Respected Sir,
It is bring to your kind notice that Omni Hotel International Canada, which is situated in Canada, Which has 136 Branches in Mexico,Amrica and Canada has demanded applications through Internet for some men and woman for work in Canada and further said that Any body willing can send his/her passport No. and other necessary documents to their E-mail address. I have fulfilled all the formalities demanded by Omni International Hotel. The Manger of Omni Hotel International Canada has accepted my application for the post of Unit Computer Operator. The copy of the same is being attached herewith for your kind perusal. The Manger of Omni Hotel International Canada has demanded me to deposit 215$ Canadian Dollar in the office of Canada Immigration after that they will send me Visa and Ticket.
Is there any provision which has been intimated by Omni Hotel International Canada or it could be cheating or fraud. Kindly help me in this matter and send your appropriate

"Hotel job" emails are a popular form of email fraud. I've seen other Yahoo questions about very similar emails (not "Omni" per se but still hotels offering jobs in return for money). If you've never applied to the company before, it's a phony. Note how the style of writing is very "verbose" and odd, probably written by somebody who doesn't know English well, and doesn't give job description details.

The fact that they ask for money and confidential information suggests that this is a fraudulent activity. No legitimate employer will demand funds prior to hiring you for any purpose. If they were to pay for your visa it would either be a part of the terms of your employment or, if you were required to reimburse them, deduct it from your pay.
These types of scams are common on the Internet. They are trying to get information and money from you. Do Not Send any money or confidential information such as a passport number to any of these types of requests and further I would report this activity. If you send them your passport number this creates the possibility of further fraud using your ID and any money you send you can wave goodbye to.
Never respond to unsolicited jobs received through email. No legitimate employer will send these out. Even if you have posted your application on a job website I would not respond to any email addresses included in the email. Use the Internet to locate and confirm the existence of the employer and their email address. Send a confirmation email to this email address along with a copy of the email sent to you. They will soon let you know whether it is legitimate by either responding to you with a confirmation or denial. If they do not respond then you know that the offer is a scam.
